The For Your Car guide
How do car subscription classes work?
Car subscription classes group vehicles into categories, often by size, features or price. You choose a class rather than reserve a particular model. The provider sets the categories, and your choice within a class depends on availability and the agreement.
- Vehicle class
- A category of vehicles grouped by a provider, often by size, features or price.
Does a class mean any car at any time?
No. A class describes a category, not a promise that every vehicle in it is available. Ask how choices are allocated, when swaps can happen and what happens if your preferred choice is unavailable.
How do upgrades work?
Providers may allow a move to another class, but timing, fees and eligibility vary. Confirm the price, duration and return arrangements before agreeing to an upgrade.
How our plan works
CarSwitchPass is a monthly car subscription by class from For Your Car. The first cars are being set up now. Scheduled maintenance is part of the plan. In scheduled swap rounds, rank your top three cars from what is available in your class, then book a swap appointment. You can keep a car you love for another round.
Temporary class upgrades are part of the plan, such as a bigger car for a moving weekend. The price and details are confirmed by email. Insurance, mileage allowance, deposit, minimum term and who you hand the car back to are confirmed by email before you sign.
A reservation is a request, not a contract or a payment. A person on Lucky’s team emails you when a car in your class is ready in your area, with the exact car, price and terms, before anything is signed.
